Experienced/trained in the following areas: Mediation (workplace, neighborhood, parent-teen, landlord-tenant, etc.), Facilitation, Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counseling, Mediation Role-Play coaching/training, Community Outreach/Education and Public Speaking.

Graduated, with honors, from Benson Polytechnic High School in Portland, OR. in 1978. Attended Portland Community College (PCC) which included American Institute of Banking (AIB) and Institute of Financial Education (IFE) courses, PeopleSoft University (obtained professional certification) and the USDA Graduate School. Was a High School National Merit Scholarship Finalist and received recognition in Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Was a recipient of IFE’s Outstanding Student of the year award.

Have volunteered for over 23 years (and counting) as current and former executive board officer and/or member of a half dozen non-profit and/or employer sponsored volunteer organizations.

Currently reside in Portland, Oregon. Have been married to the same wife for over 28 years and have a 22 year old daughter who is a recent cum laude graduate (University of Portland). Have been a lifelong volunteer with various organizations like the Oregon Food Bank and the American Red Cross (Have been a volunteer blood donor on “Rare Blood” registry with over 110 lifetime blood donations). Enjoy watching and playing sports (was once invited to try out for the local Portland professional soccer team) and love to travel (spent childhood traveling around the world and lived in a number of countries abroad including Pakistan, Turkey, Japan, Greece and others).
