Cohort Donation to Attend IAF Conferences

Help emerging facilitators attend the conferences
and bring diversity into the field of faciltiation

This coming year, North Star Facilitators has been accepted to present at both the IAF Oceania Conference in Melbourne, Australia and the North American Conference in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Barbara MacKay and cohort member, Marem Flores will be presenting the workshop session “Capacity Building: A Model of Co-Mentoring and Co-Learning with Future Diverse Leaders in Our Field” at the Australian conference in March 2012.

Barbara will also be presenting along with young adult cohort members, Rangineh Azimzadeh, Stephanie Gonzalez and Mari Mizobe at the North American conference. This special presentation entitled “Mentoring Youth in Facilitation” will be in May 2012.

We need your help!

Our goal is to raise $7,500 to help these 4 cohort members attend the 2012 IAF conferences that they have been accepted to present at. We have been successful the last 2 years in helping various cohort members co-facilitate training sessions at IAF conferences because of your support and donations. Thank you – we can’t do this without you!

How You Can Help

  • Can you make a cash donation? You can help just by making small donations of $25, $50, $100, $150, and $200. Any amount is a step closer to getting all of them there. If you can help, please send a check to “North Star Facilitators” for any amount that makes sense to you earmarked – “cohort donation”. You can also donate below using a credit card. I am so sorry I cannot give you a charitable donation receipt for this. I tried to go that route but no luck.
  • Do you have air miles that you can donate? That will help bring the cost of airfare down.
  • Do you have a colleague that you can pass on this letter to? That would also help us greatly. I can answer questions about the group or direct you to one of the members, who would be happy to share her or his story.
