Sandra Jackson

SandraSandra is a member of North Star Facilitators Diversity Facilitation Mentoring Cohort. She has completed the Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) Technology of Participation (ToP®) Group Facilitation Methods training, as well as various other facilitation workshops and training. Sandra co-facilitated Our United Villages Strategic Planning Workshops, Hillsdale Main Street Strategic Planning Workshops, Oregon Episcopal School Strategic Planning AASK Program meetings, CASA for Children Board and Staff Strategic Planning Workshop and pre-workshops, and City of Portland Mayor’s Portland Plan outreach workshops. She was a co-presenter of a workshop at the 2011 International Association of Facilitators North American Conference. She was also a co-presenter of a workshop at the 2011 Oregon Mediation Association Conference. Sandra has assisted in facilitating Food Front Cooperative Board of Directors Retreat, Portland Plan Advisory Group meetings, City of Portland Office of Neighborhood Involvement Budget Advisory Committee (ONIBAC) meetings, City of Beaverton Strategic Planning Workshop, and Parkrose High School PIE (Parents in Education) and CAKE (Caring About Kids Education) nights.

Sandra is a trained mediator. She obtained her basic mediation training from East Metro Mediation through the City of Gresham. Sandra also completed advanced Youth and Family mediation training through the Hillsboro Police Department. Additionally, she has special training regarding mediation involving manufactured home parks.

Sandra is a volunteer mediator for the Multnomah County Small Claims Court Mediation program. She also does volunteer neighborhood mediation for East Metro Mediation. Sandra coached role-play sessions during East Metro Mediation’s basic mediation training. She was a co-trainer for East Metro Mediation’s Cultural Awareness training. Sandra is a member of Oregon Mediation Association (OMA). She has attended numerous mediation and conflict resolution conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Sandra is a native Oregonian. She has one daughter of whom she is very proud. Sandra enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and getting to know people.
